I purchased 2 of these uppers from another retailer at a better price than Optics Planet. They are very accurate, reliably shooting 1/2-3/4" 5-shot groups at 100 yards off of sandbags with every Hornady factory load I have tried. No hand loads have been worked up yet so those groups will probably get even smaller, which is amazing. When a dime will completely cover your 5-shot groups at 100-yards it doesn't get much better than that. These uppers can do that if you can. This is a heavy setup. Even without a scope this upper, along with a BCG and CH, weighs as much as most of my complete AR-15 rifles with scopes on them. That's great for precision shooting off of a bench but you shouldn't plan on walking around very much with this. My complete 6.5 Creedmoor Aero rifle with a 4-20×50 Burris Veracity comes in at 13 pounds. I deer hunt out of tower stands so that isn't a big deal for me. But if you have to walk far to or from your stand, or have to walk around much with your rifle, you will notice how heavy it is. Just think of carrying 2 AR-15's with 3-9×40 scopes at the same time and you'll have an idea of how heavy it is. A gunsmith can flute this barrel for around $100 but that's not going to take more than 1 pound or so off even with spiral fluting. The only thing I would change are the flash hider and gas block. For such an accurate rifle setup I want a compensator/brake, like the VG6 Gamma 6.5 that Aero Precision makes. They work great. Also a requirement for me on an LFAR is an adjustable gas block. The uppers I got were gassed properly, with no heavy marks on the spent case rims and throwing the brass between 2 and 4 o'clock with the factory Hornady loads. That may not be the case on hand loads or ammunition from another manufacturer. An adjustable gas block is worth the extra 30-50 bucks for me to be able to tune my precision guns.

No Aero upper comes with a BCG nor a charging handle, regardless of what James thinks that the word 'complete' should mean. And so because they want 200 words minimum here, then I shall say that I own an entire Aero M4E1 5.56, and have owned a complete Aero M5, for which I ordered BOTH uppers from O.P.

Generally speaking a complete upper is a complete upper, i.e. it includes all items to make it functional including a BCG and Charging Handle. You should be able to mount a complete upper on a complete lower and have a functional weapon. This is not the case as this upper does not include a BCG or Charging Handle

Been a customer of OP for years. Always buy Scopes from OP. Saw they had AR10 uppers and found a Creedmoor 6.5 upper. Web site said the upper was complete. It is not complete, was missing bolt, bolt carrier and Charging Handle. Called customer service and no help other than return it. I used bolt group from DPMS complete rife to sight in and break in barrel. Barrel did group MOA at 200 yards and would be a good hunting setup. Cost of incomplete upper and parts to complete it are not cost effective. I have ordered uppers from others and they are always complete. Buyer be ware. Not happy with product or service.
