It does exactly what it's supposed to do for half the cost of the competition. I have 2 of them. When you take them out of the packaging and weigh them as is, they're 6.5 ounces, which is the same weight as my Anderson slick side upper. They're great at staying lubed up because of the properties of the polymer. Also they seem to run quieter than harder forged and billet uppers. I'd have no problem purchasing more for future builds.

I have to be honest and say that I bought this because it's cheap and I assumed lightweight, and a bit curious from an engineering point of view. It's $29, so when the receiver got here today I was not expecting much. Was I surprised! It looks great! Does not look like a polymer part. It looks like a quality finish found on forged uppers. The inserts are alloy of some kind, presumably 6061 and I thought of how you're supposed to tighten the barrel in. Sure enough the instructions make it clear to use a barrel extension mount, which makes sense. If you use a traditional outer clamp or other method to hold the receiver, you'll end up breaking something as I saw evident in another reviewer who clearly didn't bother reading the paperwork. Mine required a tiny bit of polymer to be filed off at the rear of the rear lug to seat perfectly (perfectly – zero movement!) on my PSA lower. So far, very impressed!

My ATI works perfect. It is light and sure firing all ammo 223 and 556.I. Have used over 1000 brass and steel with few problems at all. I found it likes brass 223 and Red Oops 223 best! Please come into this century and truss this ATI brand.

This is worth every penny. I one hundred percent recommend this upper. The trigger group that comes with their lower is weird but other than that this upper and lower have had no issues. I'm running a pistol bolt carrier in mine, and it works like a champ.

I used both the poly upper and lower to build my .50 Beowulf and it holds up great. So when people say it's cheap and can barely handle a 22lr, just think im out there with it and using a big round. Everyone who held it says they like the feel and weight of it. Im also running the hera arms cqc stock and forward hand grip.
