I bought this kit for my AR build because I was also purchasing a CMC trigger. I was looking around at purchasing all of the other parts individually and it was looking pretty pricey. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this kit. The ambi short throw lever feels excellent and all the parts look great with one exception. The plunger side of the mag release is parkerized and suffered several ugly blemishes. I am pretty OCD so I believe I will end up replacing it with an anodized one from another company because I do not believe that Armaspec manufacturers these plungers. The kit is very easy to install with a hammer, some tape(to keep from scratching your lower) and a punch. I have a lot of experience with M4's and weapon disassembly, reassembly, but this was my first lower build and it took me 45 minutes max taking my time.

This kit surprised me with it's high quality. I planned on supplementing some of that parts provided in this kit with other aftermarket parts but ended up using almost all of the parts in this kit. I only wish it had trigger & hammer pins.

Great kit, went in easy and works great so far. The ambi safety with short throw is nice. I will get this kit for my next build. The takedown pins slide pretty smooth, and the mag release holds the mag tight but releases smooth as well.

This kit gives you the ability to personalize your build. Quality of the parts is exceptional. I chose the red for this build. Ambidextrous safety and trigger guard look great. The mag release really brought the look I was hoping. My next build will be in flat dark earth.

When you finish your 80% receiver all of the holes obviously are not coated so you see an outline of bare aluminum around each drilled holes including the selector switch, hammer and trigger pins. This kit with the ambidextrous safety and the captured fire control group pins cover all of those for a more finished look.

I've bought two of these kits from another distributor for around $45 each and have used most parts other than the takedown pins (I've not tried yet) and I find them to be very good, especially the safety selector. For the same cost as the Radian safety, which I use on most builds, I really like the 45 throw of the Armaspec and it is very ergonomic and feels so good pressing I keep examining it to see if it is rubber-coated, and it snaps in position perfectly with the included detents and springs. I think for $45 it's worth the safety selector alone with the other parts as a bonus. I find the detents and springs just fine and don't see the issues other negative reviews have experienced. The trigger guard is made of aluminum and is curved for a nice appearance.
