This isn’t only first CMMG ZERO part it’s my first CMMG part of any kind and I’ve been impressed with the quality of manufacturing, assembly, performance on my new lower. In one word Quality! Definitely recommend.

Love CMMG products first time using a ami mag release should have done it sooner fit and finish are flawless.

Really well made ambidextrous magazine release. It's a must have if you are a lefty. Works perfectly. Tried several brands magazines and it worked flawlessly. Only takes a few minutes to install. CMMG makes a quality product.

The release extends past where the normal mag catch would be making this incompatible with the BAD lever, however, if you have small hands or a finned grip because you live in a place like California, it makes the release much easier to reach. PMAGS drop free with this.

The fit is close, but this ambi mag release doesn't impede on a Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch in any combination of either one pressed or depressed.Unlike the Troy ambidextrous mag release (which also works with the Maritime Bolt Catch), this doesn't mar the side of the lower in an odd location, and presents the left-side release button in a mirrored location to the standard right-side button. As the Troy button is forward and lower, rather than mirrored; the Troy is good for separating the mag release from the bolt controls, but in a non-standard location that doesn't look or feel as natural. While this CMMG ambi release doesn't stand out much aesthetically on a mil-spec lower, it does protrude slightly further on the right side vs a standard mag release button. It also has a small protrusion on both sides that could catch on gear, potentially increasing the chances of an accidental mag drop. When paired with a Maritime Bolt Catch, bolt lock and mag release buttons are very close to each other, and could be confused in a high stress situation. Often, locking back the bolt will be followed by a mag release or no magazine will be present, so this is possibly not a huge issue. There are pros and cons as with everything, but this is one of the best options for a mirrored ambidextrous magazine release that is also compatible with the Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch.

CMMG makes good products easy to install but some reason on my combat wilson billet lower receiver it only wanted to work with lancer Mags, it hard time with pmags, change the ambig to another lower it work great.
