When the barre arrived I was very happy to see that the gas block was pinned. I am very happy with the quality of Daniel Defense as well…which isn’t a surprise from what I had heard. If you are looking for an 11.5 barrel this is the way to go.

These will out live you and your kids. I think the gas hole is a little big but D Defense makes them that way so they will run any type of ammunition you put in the tube. I run an adjustable gas block so they run like a champ. I have 3 of them, Also real men have cold hammer fordged barrels. They are expensive but these barrels are top notch equipment. God gave us chf barrels because he wants us to be happy �

I don’t know how I got so lucky but I was looking and saw this little nugget in stock. This is a premium cold forged barrel that will never let you down in any situation. Daniel Defense is the cream of the crop. Love it when I find them in stock cause I’m buying them. Thanks Optics Planet!

The product is as expected. the bore is chrome lined, the gas block comes pinned with a taper pin which I like. The barrel is dimpled (and parkerized over the dimple) to accept gas block set screws but the gas block does not come threaded to accept set screws so it installs via the taper pin alone. The barrel comes pre drilled for the taper pin, which is excellent. Wish the bore was a little smoother, but for a CHF, it's good.

Built my first 12.5” pistol AR, wanted the best of the best barrels as your bcg and barrels are the heart of the ar built. Heard about DD having over gassed barrels, bought this 12.5” barrel with factory installed and pinned low profile gas block. This things is AWESOME! Im running it with a Geissele buffer tube, super 42 buffer H2 and spring, Geissele charging handle, Daniel Defense BCG, Geissele SD 3G trigger lots more with it suppressed and WOW! Awesome performance! Zero malfunctions with 55, 62, 75 & 77 grain, absolutely excellent performance!
