Great price and lightening fast shipping! This gas block is the perfect addition for a URG-I upper. Daniel Defense is a proven supplier to USSOCOM and this gas block is the mil-spec standard used in the MK12 SPR rifles and the new URG-I uppers designated for the US Army.

Fit and finish was great. If you are looking for the "correct" part for a Mk12 SPR or similar build this is the part you want. The packaging includes the block, the set screws and loctite. I don't know if the description from DD stating they make these for the Military is correct or not.

This gas block was purchased for a MK18 inspired build. I assembled the item onto a 10.3 inch Daniel Defense barrel. It was a tight fit to get it into place, but once the hex screws were locked into the block, I was confident that it was secure and will not budge.

I am using this gas block with a Knight's Armament Co RAS free float long rail. The gas block is low profile and it fits well underneath the rail. It's made of steel and it's made in the USA so you can't go wrong with that.

Quality MK12 gas block from a great company, that actually has/had the contract for this gas block for the military. Optics Planet had it in stock when no one else did, and at the normal price. Included everything needed; loctite, set screws, gas tube roll pin, and allen wrench for the set screws.

If I weren't trying to build an accurate clone of the MK12, I would not have spent 3 times the price for something that I can get for a lot less and that works the same. Its of good quality and has a good fit. Finish isn't anything special but it is just a gas block.
