The Diamondback Firearms 7.62x39mm AR-15 Carbine Barrel is machined in house on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are thoroughly inspected at multiple stages of the build process to ensure quality. This barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel and is 6 groove button rifled to ensure consistent accuracy and has a 1:9.5 twist rate. The carbine length gas system is optimal for reliability with a short 7.62x39mm barrel. It is threaded 5/8×24 and features an 11 degree target crown. The final process is a salt bath Nitride finish for an added layer of protection. Bought this for an 7.62×39 pistol and was very pleasantly surprised at the machining and finish quality of this barrel. I’ve never bought a Diamondback product before, but I would definitely recommend this barrel. Great purchase for the money.

So far this barrel chambered in 7.62×39 for the price point is amazing. Came dimpled and mine is gassed perfectly for carbine gas system. I would recommend Diamondback barrels for anyone doing that budget build but still wants quality.
