Works great, even if it doesn’t fit every single tacti-couchie upper receiver in the world. If you have an upper receiver that utilizes a roll pin for the forward assist(99.9%), this will work.

I tried a different product and it was just a dummy button that stuck out. This does not stick out, giving you a lower profile. This is exactly what I wanted, although I might miss being able to covertly chamber a round in hunting situations.

If you're like me and you have AR upper(s) that you want no forward assist on, but your upper has the forward assist bulkhead built into it, this is the part for you. You will need a standard FA roll pin to install this, but it's self-explanatory and creates a nice, smooth look and feel for that silly bulkhead that no longer has a traditional forward assist in it.

I've installed a few of these and they work just fine. This last batch, probably because they were out of stock and rushed to ship, were not perfectly machined and the groove (for the roll pin) was too small. Not a big deal; a little rat tail file work to open it up and now it fits okay.

The material finish, and price of this part is great. The finish also matched my upper receiver finish perfectly. It also sits perfectly flush with the edges of the forward assist hole, making it look super clean.Only bummer is – it doesn't/work with the very popular Aero Precision M4E1 "enhanced" upper receiver. These receivers use a threaded pin instead of the standard roll pin to hold the forward assist inside the receiver. This plug does not allow the threaded pin to full insert and thus does not work. The threads of the threaded pin will not catch.I am returning this product and trying another brand.

It does what it does, and fits so well you don't even notice that it's there. No one even notices that you're gun is "missing" a forward assist.
