The Patented Tailhook MOD 1C is 30% lighter and 30% more compact than or standard Mod 1. With a profile similar to the SCW Tailhook it truly is the most compact pistol brace on the market today. At less than an inch thick, it can be adapted to practically every platform on the market. This version clamps to pistol buffer tubes or adapter spuds ranging from 1.17″ to 1.2″ in diameter. To activate the brace functionality, depress the release button and pull the arm down. This creates the shelf that will counterbalance the muzzle weight of your large frame handgun. The ability of your forearm to hold the weight allows you to relax your shooting wrist and concentrate on trigger control. True one handed operation is achieved since you do not need a second hand to attach the brace to your arm. MOD 1C can be set up for right or left handed operation. This is a great addition to my CZ Scorpion, I didn't want to go through SBR and paying for Tax stamp. Very Compact, heavy duty and has a slim profile. Perfect addition to any CZ Scorpion. To my honest opinion its a better setup then going thru other tactical braces. It makes the Scorpion look good, great alternative to a butt stock.

Fits well on my B&T APC. Lightweight and easy to maneuver with. Compactness of it makes it easy to store and retrieve the firearm at a moment's notice when used as a home defense weapon. It is easier to deploy and operate as a forearm brace than the SB Tactical but doesn't have the same comfort when braced against the body. Also rubbed my wrist when collapsed but not enough to slow operation of weapon.

This Gearhead tailhook compact model is perfect for my pistol brace build. It's lighter than the full size model and smaller. The finish isn't glossy which I prefer. I'm 160 lbs average build. The arm brace fits my arm perfectly. If, you have huge bi-ceps it model might not fit well. You may be better off purchasing the mod 1 for better fitment. I would definitely recommend this product.

Having the original tailhook and this I feel the new mod 1c is best for most applications. I have it on my scorpion and it makes it easier to put in a backpack and it has a lower chance of snagging on something. It functions like the original one but most people aren’t going to use it with it open. Great for Smaller pistol caliber sub guns.

I ordered this as soon as I purchased my copperhead. It’s A solid replacement for the MPX factory brace with non spinning adapter. Made a huge difference in the feel of the brace. If your using the floppy spinning dig brace your missing out.
