If you’re looking to improve the function and reliability of your AR-15 rifle, then you need to upgrade to the Geissele Super 42, Braided Wire Buffer & Spring Combo. Using three independent wire strands, these AR15 Buffer Springs by Geissele act as a harmonic damper and energy absorber by allowing the springs to flex separately from each other. This concept makes it a lot easier to rely on your rifle since it helps displace excess energy which decreases the chance of spring failure. What’s more, the Geissele AR-15 Braided Wire Buffer & Spring Combo has a decreased tendency to lose length and force over a given round count when compared to its stock counterpart. This is the perfect product for those who can hear and feel those annoying spring reverberations from the buttstock. Also, with a 15% stronger average return force, the Geissele Super 42 Spring assists in stripping rounds out of the magazine when working with a dirty weapon or when using steel-case ammo. This firearm enhancement is strongly recommended to anyone who wants a smoother firing experience at an affordable price. Please note that this product is for use with Carbine length buffer tubes and is not compatible with rifle length or A5 buffer tubes. The 3rd time i got one. I love it. Smooth and nearly twang proof. Seems faster than the single wire springs. It works flawlessly with my 5.56 rigs and also with a 350 Legend upper. Geissele quality un my lower cost build. Well worth the upgrade.

Cant speak more highly of this purchase! Typical from the manufacturer, It has consistently proven itself to be Just as described when I initially purchased it. I have fired well over 20,000 rounds With it and can find no signs of damage and/or the slightest evidence of prominent wear. Simply put, without knowing when I purchased it, I wouldn't have any way of knowing= that it was brand-new.

It’s a bit more costly than the standard Mil-spec that comes with many stock AR firearm. I don’t really care for the ting noise the stock one produces either. The spring is braided to get you a bit more zing while being very durable and bit higher quality. It does require use of the buffer weight that comes with the Geissele Super 42. Don’t expect to swap it with the Mil-spec parts bin laying aroundBe prepared to wind up the charging handle with a bit more force as this buffer spring and weight combo will demand it to make your firearm come to life. The result is just enough pressure for my 16 inch barrel to reliably punch holes at the range. My extractions are about 3 o’clock. It’s a great upgrade and should last for some time to come. You can count on Geissele. Just have to stomach the cost. Made in USA!

I have 5 of these. They really quiet down the Sproing sound in the tube. That reason alone I put them in all my builds. I usually get the H1 buffer but buy the Dark Industries H2 buffer for $21 and take them apart and use the tungsten out of it to make my H1 an H3. Cheaper than buying Geissele tungsten weights for $21 a pop.

Installed this in a lower and have used it with both 14.5" and 16" uppers. Stronger than the stock spring and produces noticeably less spring rattle and "ping" when dropping the bolt. Geissele states it reduces recoil and I do feel a difference, but it is not very significant. Good buy if you hate the rattly, wimpy stock carbine spring and buffer.

This thing is awesome. It made my optics glass clearer and the red dot brighter. Extends battery life on weapon lights. I still can't hit the broad side of a barn, but I'm thinking the H2 buffer may help with that.
