   It's a castle nut, it does what it should. It had a good finish, no burrs and it does what it's supposed to do when tightened down. Be aware the finish was a little shinier as opposed to others but, it doesn't affect its performance.

   This is a standard issue castle nut. It looks/fits just like my others from more expensive sources. If you want a standard issue castle nut, this is one at a decent price. I used this castle nut and the JE Machine QD end plate on my latest build and both were satisfactory.

   This item looks made well enough and it sure does the job, how could it not but unfortunately it is shiny. Because it is glossy black it doesn't match the receiver or buffer tube. Kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. If I could choose again I'd go with something flat black.

   Same as a million other castle nuts- put it on the right way, don't cross thread your buffer tube, and it'll do the job! Some people believe in peening the threads in one of the slots of the nut once it's tight, but that will make swapping tubes difficult- not impossible. I prefer to put medium loctite under the castle nut to stay put.
