JL Billet’s MBS (Modular Billet Stock) is a patented all aluminum modular buttstock designed to fit AR15 & AR10 Mil-Spec collapsible buffer tubes. We start with chunks of 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and precision CNC machine each piece to ensure an exact fit and perfect function. The MBS is a modular design that allows all components of the stock to be replaced if damaged, you can also change up the color and design to set your AR15 apart from the rest. We don’t use any plastic on this stock other than the rubber base and cheek pads, this allows you to Ceracoat or anodize whatever color you like to accessorize and customize to your specific needs. RAW STOCKS WILL SHIP UN-ASSEMBLED UNLESS REQUESTED OTHERWISE. The MBS is skeletonized to reduce weight while maintaining strength and giving a look like nothing else on the market. Weight without a buffer tube installed is only 16 oz. It’s not for the weak guys who can’t handle a few extra oz in their rifle. This stock is a really nice piece. The quality of machining is top notch. The adjustment lever doesn't feel sticky at all like another review said. Maybe its because mine is cerakoted. The check weld is perfect with my Sig Bravo 4. If there was anything to complain about it would be the rubber pad is slightly shorter than the length of the tube.

Tried several mil spec tubes, finally found that this fits the Strike Industries tube. The lever to adjust the stock is very sticky even after applying some lube. Looks awesome, but probably not the best option if you routinely change stock positions on the fly. Also (predictably) heavier than your common polymer stocks, though that is to be expected.

Unfortunately it didnt fit my mil spec tube which was a surprise. Sometimes a lemon gets through it happens i understand that. The second problem was my habu charging handle wouldn't clear the the front or rear ill call it nut that holds the stock together. I spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to make it work because i loved the look but unfortunately im back to the drawing board there. No complaints at all with optics planet first time having to return something and no problem at all. They have a return customer guaranteed.

After reading the previous reviews regarding not fitting the buffer tube, I bought the recommended buffer tube when I ordered this stock. I waited over two months for it to arrive and it snapped right on the buffer tube and is beautiful! Next, thunk, something hit the ground. I found a pin and started looking for where it came from. The pin is the pivot pin from the adjustment lever on the stock. There is zero friction to retain this pin. I have contacted JL Billet and not reached a resolution yet…
