The Scarging handle fits both 5.56 and 7.62 NATO versions of the NRCH FN Scar models and installs in seconds. The radius-faced design and swept geometry of the Scarging Handle allows the user to achieve a more solid grasp when manipulating the bolt. This allows for easier charging, clearing of stoppages, and administratively locking the firearm bolt to the rear. The shooter can choose between left or right-side installation to match their hand dominance and can rotate the Scarging Handle to either downward or upward sweep. The downward sweep protects the hand from busted knuckles due to optics mounts by keeping it down and away from the weapons top. This also has the added benefit of additional leverage gained, and increased grasping surface for larger hands or when wearing gloves. All Scarging Handles are constructed of low carbon steel and finished with black Nitride. Very good upgrade for the Scar 17S. Very easy to install it and provides a much better grip.

Well did i want to spend fifty dollars on a charging handle that was already on my rifle, the answer is no, but if there is something out there in the aftermarket world the will make my shooting experience better, I'm probably going to consider spending that money because in the long run those changes will keep my firearm easier to use and give it a better life than when i first bought it.

This is a must have upgrade for anyone using an Eotech on a SCAR.

Bought this Scarging handle for a NRCH on a SCAR 16 that I am building out. I have a similar one on my SCAR 17 and I must say that I really like this design from KDG.The design is a bit oversized and allows easy and sure grip for cycling the firearm. I keep it turned down so I won't scrape my knuckles on my optics mount.

Notwithstanding the princely sums FN exacts for its SCAR-series rifles, the things ship with stingy, stubby OEM charging-handles. My SCAR 16s NRCH has blasted a great deal of paper and steel, but the only blood it's drawn has been from the knuckles of my left-hand. Thankfully, Kinetic Development's NRCH SCARging-handle has put an end to the carnage. Because I favor symmetry, I retrofitted my rifle with both right- and left–side SCARging-handles. Installation was straight-forward and took barely three-minutes. Once installed, the SCARging-handles facilitate easier racking (more gripping surface and better leverage) of the SCAR platform while while keeping shooters' tender mitts well-clear of blood-thirsty optic-mounts. It's a win/win. Moreover, at the very-reasonable OpticsPlanet price, two SCARging-handles worked out to be less-expensive than the tubes of Neosporin and boxes of Band-Aids I've been stuck buying.
