The RB5015HD is a specially engineered Heavy Damped KynSHOT for the 9MM PCC application. Designed in cooperation with Blitzkrieg Components, LLC. to work for 9MM applications with barrels 8in or greater, either suppressed or unsuppressed and with any type of ammo. The hydraulic fluid and seals are made to meet mil- spec requirements and have an ambient temperature operating range of -30F to +150F. The KynSHOT uses patented hydraulic shock absorption technology to dampen the impact of the bolt at the rear of its travel and to dampen the forward impact of the buffers weight as it chambers the next round. Its weight and length have been optimized for the 9MM application so that it runs reliably, softens recoil, smooths out the action, and stops just behind the bolt catch. This buffer is fantastic. I felt an immediate decrease in recoil and the gun was far more controllable when combined with Tubb flatwire spring in an A5 length tube. Designed for 9mm but works very well for 5.56 too.

I've always known that 9mm ARs will recoil pretty hard, however, using this buffer with a JP .308 spring, the recoil was definitely softer than an M4 Carbine. That's a win if you ask me. Definitely helps to create a reliable 9mm AR with out any cycling issues. You can feel some of the recoil, but it isn't as violent as an overgassed AR.

Replaced the stock buffer in Springfield Saint 9mm. I had to remove the spacer in the buffer or it wouldn't lock back after the last round. Works flawlessly. No more spring sproing.

Just installed this in my S&W Response… I have been to the range a few times since install and have put about 1500 rounds without any issues… I cannot say there is a noticeable decrease in felt recoil, because there wasn't much to begin with. But I can say that the gun is running flawlessly and I attribute some of the smooth firing to this buffer.

I use this hydraulic buffer with a JP .308 buffer spring and A5 buffer tube in my competition PCC. Using the JP 9mm short stroke BCG makes the gun cycle fast and minimizes recoil. I am surprised at how the gun runs with these components. Some top shooters use this combo and I followed the leader to improve my game.

My AR9 was doubling a little bit and I experienced an OBD due to bolt bounce several years ago. This prompted me to look for ways to mitigate these issues. After combing the internet and the forums I came across many AR9 owners. One specifically by the handle of 'Blowback9'. His years of experience, research and practical applications on optimizing the AR9 lead to this purchase.Well long story short, those who have used this buffer were right. Felt recoil was reduced, no doubling and no OBDs occurred after install and test fire. Most will say that the Blitzkrieg 2.5oz spacer should be used in tandem with this buffer, but I tested without the spacer and it still worked. But as always, err on the side of caution and run this buffer with the spacer, or purchase a heavier bolt. Now the con. There's only one really. Since the buffer is about half an inch longer than a standard buffer then adding the thickness of the spacer, your bolt will not fully reciprocate into the buffer tube. This will not effect feeding or ejection of casings, but it will negate your last round bolt hold open feature/manual BHO lever. If this annoys you, this can be rectified by purchasing an A5 buffer tube. These tubes are a little longer than your standard carbine tube. This allows the buffer, spacer and bolt to travel further back thus allowing BHO features to work.Yes I know all this seems like a chore, but when dealing with the AR9s it truly is a balancing act. If you want more in depth explanations and examples on how to get your AR9 optimized just use your Google-fu and look up Blowback9's website. He's also on Youtube. Good luck!!!
