The RB5022 is a specially engineered Hydraulic Buffer with dual stage damping for the Rock Island Armory VR80 application. This is a drop-in replacement for the standard buffer. The hydraulic fluid and seals are made to meet mil-spec requirements and have an ambient temperature operating range of -30F to +150F. KynSHOT uses patented hydraulic shock absorption technology to dampen the impact of the bolt at the rear of its travel and to dampen the forward impact of the buffers weight as it chambers the next round. This buffers weight, damping, and length have been optimized for the VR80 application so that it runs reliably, softens recoil, smooths out the action, and reduces muzzle rise. it works how they wanted it to work now so ignore all the negative reviews. it is completely worth it now, they made a video on it and they said you can go through like 16 barrels before you even gotta change out the buffer. and it requires no maintenance, I spoke to them personally on the issue and it was some of the best customer support I have ever had in my life.

Before I invested in one of these buffers last month I did a lot of research on what the problem actually was. Apparently some of the parts were separating within the first few hundred rounds causing a catastrophic failure, Most of the shooters loved the recoil reduction part of this buffer, but obviously not the separating issues. After speaking with KynShot and reading their official statement addressing the problem, I decided to purchase one. I currently have 2 matches and around 600 rounds through my VR80 and it has preformed perfectly and I love it.

Works great and I can really tell the difference when it’s working. Problem is I am on my 3rd one. I put one in a new VR80 and it lasted through about 100 rods of slugs before it broke. Had a second one in my sons VR82 (20ga) and it lasted through 50 rods of slugs before it broke in the same place. Company does have a good return policy but if they don’t last then what’s the point? Just put a new one in the VR80 after receiving it from Kyntech. Hopefully it lasts.

Great idea, poorly designed as mine broke within 180 rounds. felt like it worked well until it broke, which you can tell when it happens because the bolt will not go back far enough to load the next round. Waiting to see if the manufacturer will do anything for me.

This buffer is just junk. I purchased this less then a year ago and it failed bad. The buffer came apart in my buffer tube. I wish I could post pictures here. KynSHOT's warranty is also junk."Once the buffer is received and KynSHOT's Engineering and Quality Team has completed their review, Customer Service will contact you to offer our findings. If a factory evaluation determines that the issue is due to design, materials or craftsmanship KynSHOT will replace the buffer for a $50.00 fee + $10.00 for shipping."So basically if they find their part was at fault they will replace it after you pay them another $60? I wish I would have seen that prior to purchasing. They won't accept responsibility for their product failing.Stay away from this product.
