The Magpul Industries PRS Lite Rifle Stock provides much of the same adjustability and many features of our PRS GEN3 Precision-Adjustable Stock, with the added benefits of reduced weight and a price thats almost half of its fully featured counterpart. Designed to military standards, the PRS Lite Rifle Stock is intended for carbine/SR25/A5 extension tubes for .223 and .308 receiver-pattern rifles. At 10 ounces lighter than the PRS GEN3, these AR15 Stocks provide an optimized shooter interface with .8in of comb height and 1.4in of LOP adjustments. The low-profile rubber butt-pad is adjustable for height and cant and provides an extremely stable interface with the shooters shoulder. There are multiple attachment options for slings, including an ambidextrous 1.25in footmans loop, a reversible QD sling swivel cup, and space for another optional QD sling swivel cup. I absolutely love this stock. It's solid. No Rattle. The LOP and cheek rise are perfect. Looks great and performs as you expect a PRS to perform. Much lighter than my GEN 3. You will not be disappointed. I've got 2. 1 on my 5.56 3 Gun and my Aero M5 308 bench beauty. Mil-Spec carbine tube and you're good to go!

It attaches to a carbine buffer tube — not a rifle buffer tube like my more expensive Gen.1 PRS. However, I had to mill out with a Dremel tool a substantial amount of aluminum material from the bottom front flange of tube in order to clear the QD hole. The QD hardware is what holds the stock in place. I purchased an inexpensive buffer tube from OpticsPlanet; perhaps; it was out-of-spec — I don’t know. Unlike the older PRS, you cannot adjust the pull length & cheek height on the fly. You need to use an Allen wrench, which is 5x slower. However much the lower lower price and lighter weight compensate for the issues I faced. I would buy another one if I needed to build another sniper rifle.

1st PRS lite stock for me installed it on my PSA GEN 3 AR 10 In .308 I put Magpul on all my rifles. I really dig the adjustably of this unit ..All Pros No Cons.. Magpul and OP.com #1. Writing this review maybe the only CON considering at the end of my review a pop up said my review has to be 200 characters……. anyway ..Buy Magpul…PEACE

Looks great and has great adjustability and light weight. However I did have to modify my buffer tube slightly I tested it on two of my other rifles and they would have needed the same thing I did see videos where others fit perfectly with no modifications but also saw I was not the only one with this complaint

Solid stock. An excellent compromise between weight, functionality and price. Alternative/similar stocks that offer the same features are heavier and generally significantly more expensive… I purchased mine for a lightweight/budget SPR build utilizing Aero M4 receivers and hand guard, and SPR barrel. A very stout stock with just the right amount of adjustment. Caught it on sale and got it delivered for less than $80!Had to dock a star for the same reason as another reviewer, my stock has about 1/16" or so play back and forth, up and down the buffer tube, due to a small amount of slack between the buffer tube and stock bolt. Noticeable when repeatedly racking the gun, such as to clear. Not so much an issue in normal operation, just annoying, and another little crack to get dirty. I suspect this is due to the slight variances between manufacturers on "mil spec", and to be honest, I expected better of Aero in that regard, not like them to be off.A negative for some but not for me is the set-it-and-forget-it style of adjustment. I see no reason to have a rifle be able to adjust on the fly unless you're changing sights or shooters. A dedicated scoped rifle doesn't need to be adjusted regularly, and I'd rather have the more permanent feel of such a stock as this. I also dig the clean lines compared to some of the 'space gun' looking offerings out there.Magpul should have included an adhesive shim kit to add to the front angle on the length-selection portion of the receiver extension, or on the mating surface inside the stock, one or the other. That's my plan for solving the issue, anyway.Would and will buy this stock again in the future if such a specific build requires. For a basic bench gun, light but capable varmint gun, designated marksman, this stock is excellent.
