This Magpul stock on my AR10 is the best one I’ve purchased . I would recommend it without any reasons why not to. Very well Designed and not hard to install. High quality. Price under a PRS, which is a great stock as well, Definitely worth the money. Magpul has come a long way….

Little high priced but worth it. Super solid and super adjustable. Not lightweight but all my rifles are hefty. Overall a great piece for a battle rifle not so much for 3 gun because of the weight. The FDE finish matches all the other Magpul furniture nicely.

So I got the Gen 2 for my new AR-15 450 Bushmaster build. Love it, tough, durable & it looks so good on my build too. Someone years ago actually compared the Gen 1 UBR to 5 or 6 other stocks with a 6’ drop test. UBR was only one that survived intact.

Seriously, is it even a question? This stock is some of that gucci gear. Buy this if you are able to because not only does it look good, but it also feels good. The extra weight helps balance my build out, being front heavy is not ideal for the purpose of my rifle. Its rugged, its aesthetically pleasing, its got extra storage, and its hands down the best stock ive ever shot with. The fixed cheek rest means im getting a consistent cheekweld every time. Buy this stock. Its worth it.

I purchased the UBR 2 for my Springfield Saint 5.56 because I wanted a stock that would give me the consistent cheek weld and solidity of a fixed stock, but also the capability and flexibility of a collapsible stock (being able to still “shrink down” the overall length of the rifle when needed is a huge advantage over alternatives such as the traditional A2 stock, or even something like the PRS line of rifle stocks (especially when conducting vehicle-borne ops, hands-free activities, climbing, etc.). The stock, even when fully deployed, feels solid as a rock (literally no movement), and while its slightly heavier then a lot of its after market counterparts, I personally appreciate the added rear weight as it helps to better counter-balance my weapon when I’m running attachments down barrel such as lights, bipod, IR, etc. On a minor note, the removable rear compartment is also handy for carrying backup ear pro, batteries, etc or cutting weight while providing another point of attachment at the rear of the weapon when removed. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with this product and I believe it’s definitely a worthy consideration if the PRS line of stocks is too expensive or limited for those operators needing more versatility from their weapon’s butt stock.

I am very pleased with the stock. The build quality is amazing with little to no movement when locked in position. Be aware that this stock is heavy! I knew it was based on other reviews and that was fine with me as using it with a 20" inch build that will be on a bipod most of the time going for distance. Overall very happy with the purchase and I love the look. Please be aware: I did lots of research into the A5 system that this stock is designed to work with. The buffer tube that comes with the stock is in between carbine and rifle length. The buffer tube is designed to accept the A5 spring and buffer that was designed by a company by the name of Vltor. My research showed the idea behind the system is to get the reliability benefits of the rifle buffer system with a collapsible stock (did not exist until the A5), you either had to go carbine or fixed rifle. I liked this concept so first ordered the stock and was excited to put in the A5 buffer and spring it's designed for (rifle spring with a proprietary buffer Vltor A5H2 which weighs in at 5.33oz). Come to find out after I received and installed the stock that the A5 buffer made by Vltor is completely sold out EVERYWHERE, and trust me I searched. You can go up or down in buffer weights but the standard A5 buffer at 5.33oz can not be found anywhere.luckily, this stock comes with a spacer that is designed to go into the stock before the spring and allow you to run a carbine length spring with carbine buffer (or whichever weight you deem appropriate). I was truly looking forward to getting all that I could out of this new A5 system but unfortunately had to settle for the carbine setup with the spacer. Not a deal breaker and I'm not finished with my build so can not comment on the functionality, but figure when and if the A5 buffer becomes available from Vltor I will switch it out if inclined to do so.Hope I saved you some time. Good luck!
