This brace compares with Sb Tactical’s brace. Has slightly more vertical play in its linkage and is slightly more compact. Not sure those qualities are worth the extra money. Reviewing it only to itself, it is very serviceable. Feels good looks great. Is very compact. The play in the linkage is not enough to really be a draw back in most situations. I have really enjoyed it. The fully extended length of pull is a little short for me, but overall I am very happy with it and pleased with the purchase and company.

I was in the market of pistol braces and had been seeing the usual sba3/sba4 and i was like im so tired of seeing the same brace on everyone's pistol. So i came across the Maxim defense pdw and I was like wow this is like some Daniel defense ttpe of quality. So from now on i will be doing the Maxim braces for almost the same price.

The Maxim CCS brace is solid and extremely well made. Extends and retracts smoothly and locks solidly in position. While identical to the SBPDW in design and function, I like the materials and fit n finish better on the Maxim. The ability to use the standard AR buffer and spring is a plus, as some of the Maxim braces require proprietary BCG, spring and buffers.

Firearm info: Upper- PWS mod1 Lower- Wilson Combat (Aero LPK, Geissele H3 super 42 buffer spring) So far with the quality and how easy it was to install I am very happy. I’m looking forward to getting out to the range to give it a good test run but I’m confident it will do well. The only issue I have at the moment is that when completely collapsed the safety switch sits right below brace and slightly gets in the way. Easy fix imo will be an ambi safety but for now I’m not worried about it. I’ve had other braces before but I’m most impressed with this one. I’ll do an update once I get a few rounds through it.

Wow, wow!! Surprisingly better than expected, this Maxim Defense brace is a perfect fit for my PSA 7” 5.56 NATO MARAUDER SL AR-15. It is well designed, engineered and very stylish. So far I'm extremely with this item.

If your in the market for a pistol stabilizing brace, go with Maxim Defense. You won’t be disappointed. Very sturdy and well made. They just make quality products. Looked at some other manufacturers glad I picked this one up.
