Like the Gen 6, the Gen 7 is a CQB stock built for comfort and durability for real-world use. No buttons to push, just pull the stock to deploy. At its most collapsed position, this CQB stock only adds 5.35 in to your AR15. At full extension, the Maxim CQB stock is the length of an extended carbine stock. And with 4 total positions you can adjust for maximum comfort and multiple scenarios. Rapid deployment, purpose driven materials, and the functionality you need, the Maxim Defense CQB Stock is simply the most thought out, versatile, and durable CQB stock on the market. The Gen 7 is for those who want a sleeker profile, eliminating the side sling swivel attachment points from the housing. Instead, the Gen 7 comes with our ambidextrous sling mount already installed. *Includes 3.3oz pistol weight buffer. This fits a Radian lower flawlessly. It feels as rigid as the lower itself, and as if it were something that Radian would design themselves. Would recommend getting the JP self-capture spring available for this model; it is pricey and adds to the cost ($130-$190ish depending on model), but it is well worth the it. The rapid-deploy feature needs to be broken in. Tip for that is to push then pull quickly.I bought a Strike Industries PDW stock a couple years ago for an AR-9 which is about $100 cheaper (before additional buffer for 9mm). The quality of this one makes it worth every extra penny. The SI PDW stock has a tiny area that has very sharp edges which leave welts on my shoulder every time I shoot it. MUCH smoother and larger surface area on the butt which makes it more comfortable to shoulder and shoot.

Looks cool but is not worth the price. I love how compact it is, but is not very comfortable to shoot. When you rest your cheek on it while shooting, it rattles your teeth and jaw. I will probably end up taking this off my SBR.

I BOUGHT THIS STOCK THINKING IT WAS GOING TO BE WORTH IT, BUT I ENDED UP RETURNING IT. THE STOCK SHORTENED MY RIFLE BY 2 IN WHEN ITS COLLAPSED, AND LOOKS GREAT! BUT WHEN I INSTALLED IT I STILL FELT THE CHEAPISH WIGGLE OF A REGULAR STOCK, AND MAYBE I WAS IGNORANT FOR THINKING A $390 STOCK WOULD FEEL LIKE A HIGHER-QUALITY ITEM. I WAS ALSO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FEEL OF IT ON MY CHEST/SHOULDER POCKET IN THE READY POSITION.

I bought this stock for an AR I was building. I loved it and it was great feeling and looking. I ended up having to return it because the SilencerCo lower I bought for my AR has QD mounts near the buffer tube threads and the posts for the stock hit them and it couldn't collapse. TL;DRPros: Amazing looks and great functionCons: Does not work on a SilencerCo lower

I brought this stock to replace the Maxim brace I have on my dd m4 pwd, for the price I was very disappointed. It was not really much different than the brace already on it. No better cheek rest, no padding on the butt. Needless to say I sent it back. Waiting on my refund.

Incredibly compact, fairly light, easy to extend, and great to look at. There is minor wobble with the wire stock when extended but when shooting is hardly noticeable. The major downside is the attachment and retention to the lower receiver — they recommend loc-tite and torquing it down. I've found with minimal usage, and with an *undergassed* upper, that I can now unscrew the buffer tube by hand and that's unacceptable for the price.
