I went with the combo including this scs and am glad I did! Skeptical especially for the price I never thought I would get one as the conventional spring/buffer doesn’t bother me but after using one, I am impressed. It is smooth and quiet as advertised. A bonus is that on the build I added it too, for some reason my bolt wouldn’t Lock back with supersonic loads and my metal (DH) magazines but worked fine with my Magpul mags. I tried experimenting from standard , H1 and H2 buffers and since everything worked fine with my Magpul mags, I felt no need to look into further and mess with my gas port etc and called it a day ruled it my metal magazines and just used them accordingly… Well after switching to the Maxim brace and JP SCS “standard” I found that now my bolt locks back even with my metal mags! I don’t know what I’m more happy about, the smoother/quieter operation or it erasing the bolt lock back on DH magazine issue. Regardless I am glad I tried it!

I love the JP SCS and use them on all my builds. Makes for a really smooth operation of the BCG. I used this one in a LWRC ultra compact buffer tube and stock. The length of the SCS was a little short but I used a spacer behind the SCS and it works perfect now. No issues. Would buy again.

If u want a quiet MSR along with a smooth as silk action then this is what you want. Since I bought my 1st one 5 years ago, I have lost track of how many rifles I have with the JP spring. Every build has worked flawlessly and that smooth action still puts a smile on my face. You wont be disappointed. Think of it as a captured spring.

This is going to replace my current but stock with Maxim Defense CQB buffer system. It is very impressive. This is not my first JP Silent Capture Spring. It works great in my 308 and AR-15. Loved the system so much I bought one for my son. I will be putting this on my rifle later this week.

Was having short cycling issues with some subsonics in my 8" .300 BLK conversion on my Saint Edge AR Pistol; installed the JP Silent Captured Spring in my Maxim CQB – problem solved. Much smoother and quiter operation compared to the stock spring and buffer.

Product looked well built and others I have used functioned perfectly. Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered the CQB which did not fit in my carbine buffer tube. Double check that you are ordering the right unit
