So Midwest Industries seems to be going with some sort of vacuum sealed packaging with no other protection for their handguards. That means your item is left rattling around in the factory box without any filler. My rail came scuffed up. I almost thought it was my fault until I noticed that there was rubbing on the vacuum seal bag exactly where the scuffing on my rail was. Not very happy.

Opened up the package and there is paint missing in three places ! Disappointed to say the least and now I have to return it!! I don’t know if I would recommend this product or not just depends if the replacement I get has the same issue.

I bought a free float handguard by midwest industries part # mi-crm6. Midwest industries is selling this handguard and it should be a "blem". it looks like it's been kicked around and dinged up, and then they put their finish on it. for the price I paid for this damaged handguard I won't buy another product from them.

After months of waiting only to get one with excessive tool marks. Can’t believe I paid retail for blemish quality product and to return this back to OpticsPlanet for a refund or exchange would take another 2 months. Frustrated.

I ordered the 4.5 handguard months ago and finally received it today. the product I received would be considered a blem from any reputable manufacture. The handguard had tooling marks all over and several scratches and dings including a damaged qd slot. It actually looks like it may have been dropped. This is my first and probably last purchase from midwest industries. Hey you get what you pay for, and at this price point its not even worth returning . I genuinely and honestly cant recommend this handguard to anyone based on the qc issues alone. I was super excited to get this but now I'm regretting my purchase.
