Maybe it's due to the mounting style of the mpx (gen3) and this is necessary to maintain zero on the top rail, but this handguard is *extremely* tight. It was very difficult to put on and I'm currently unable to remove it (hence 4 stars)

Installed on my MPXK, with 4.5 inch barrel, used this 8inch so I could tuck my CGS MOD9 K suppressor, works and looks beautiful. I see another review say it’s tight, mine is perfect, maybe he installed on another type of MPX, but these are made for MPXK. I even had mine professionally cerokoted in FDE, and slides on and off with ease. By adding this 8inch, I was able to tuck my suppressor, add Vertical grip, SureFire light with Unity Tactical Hot Button, and but new Magpul barricade up front on bottom at 6oclock.

First, Optics Planet made this handguard purchase very cost effective and an efficient transaction. Will definitely buy from them again! The handguard finish is very good. Almost an exact match to my MPX-K 2nd gen. The only issue is the fitment. There is an annoying slight play between the receiver and the Rhandguard. Also, be forwarned that the torx fastening screw is made up of soft metal (in my opinion) and marred when attempting to tighten down to limit the play. Read on several internet pages that this is not uncommon. There are fixes but involves dangerous bending of parts. Disappointed that fit isn't better but still functions well with my SIG SRD9 suppressor.
