The original LSS-XL Gen2 Chassis System, Fixed Stock Interface was designed as a variant of the highly popular MDT LSS chassis. The LSS chassis was designed for use with compact, short-barreled rifles. Many customers liked the LSS chassis, but wanted to use a fixed buttstock, and get their bipod out further forward. This prompted us to design the first-generation LSS-XL chassis system, which has a forend extended by 3″ and was designed to accept fixed rifle stocks without the need of using any adapters. One such buttstock that works great with this chassis system is the TRYBE Defense Rifle Buttstock, made with high quality lightweight reinforced polymer and aluminum, and includes a buttstock and a set of cheek rests for ultimate comfort and functionality. These Rifle Stocks are designed with V-shaped bedding surfaces, allowing you to drop your rifle right in without the need for additional bedding. The bottom profile of the V-block cutout has been kept round and close to the action without making contact, maintaining maximum strength. The OpticsPlanet Exclusive MDT LSS-XL Gen2 Chassis System, Fixed Stock Interface will free float barrels up to 1.350 diameter. After the successful launch of our ESS chassis system, requests started pouring in for the new features that had been introduced on the ESS chassis to be rolled out on our other chassis systems. In response, we have upgraded our LSS-XL chassis line with a Gen2 lineup that incorporates the new features. Put on my Tikka T3 Lite 7mm Mag with easy install and fit was perfect. Definitely changed the gun for the better, obviously heavier than the stock from the factory but outperforms it by miles as well. The looks are great and the chassis is very functional. Must use different mags so keep that in mind when you purchase.

This was a good buy. The design is well made and will last a lifetime. You will be very pleased if you decide to go with the MDT. It is expensive and would recommend that you treat it that way as well. Replacing anything will cost you an arm and a leg.

What can I say? Fit and finish are superb. Truly a drop in chassis with a high degree of workmanship. The Cerakote is flawless and everything fits tight. Definitely will buy MDT products for my next rifle.

Looks good. Feels good. Easy installation. Lighter than expected. Perfect flush fit with the Remington 700 SA. MDT also has one of the best customer services around. Can’t go wrong with any of their products.

The MDT chassis is a nice piece of kit. Be advised though, the picture associated with this item at the time of writing implies that you are buying the whole kit: forward stock, hand grip, and butt stock. But only the forward stock (called the chassis) is being sold here. Once you figure that out (usually when you receive half of what you thought you were paying for) you'll need to go shopping for the other half. Note that the full kit will run you about $1k US by the time you're done.Manufacturing is top drawer and the presentation is well done. It's earned the 5 stars.OPTICS PLANET – PLEASE CHANGE THE PICTURES TO SHOW JUST THE CHASSIS, NOT THE WHOLE STOCK SYSTEM.
