The charging Handle itself is solid. It’s wider then standard but the design has something left to be desired. As for being ambidextrous the design is not as good as a radian raptor imo. For anyone looking for a better charging handle for a Sig 716i this is not it. It does not fit. I listened to others, looked up what charging handles did Fit the Sig 716i, they said this one does but it doesn’t. Unfortunately, the only charging handle upgrade from standard for Sig is made by Sig. It’s similar to a radian raptor, it’s lame they don’t come stock with the better charging handle but that’s what they did.

I recently bought this for new new sig 716 .308 since it stated that it fits. It does fits and goes in but once it locked into place it gets stuck. You will notice the front part has a spline that is wider than the manufacturers. I really wish it fit because it is very nice well built and would have been great.

This thing works great for me. I have large hands and struggle with a lot of charging handles. This thing is big enough without being too big.

This charging handle works really well for those of us that have arthritis in the hands.. I like the ergonomic design and the colors…I have a 308 and a 6.5 Creedmore that both look the same..I use two color to tell them apart.
