I was actually lucky enough to stumble upon this on my first AR build. I though it looked great and I remember shooting my old bushmaster (yes I know now), anyways, I remember how hard it was to lock the bolt back at the range which is what is required when you go to change your targets. I saw this and didn't really understand what it did, but it looked cool so I bought one. Little did I know, my next range trip would be the last one with a "normal" bolt catch ever again. This thing is phenomenal when chambering the BCG. It is so convenient I don't even know how I went without one. I do have a magpul version of the BAD lever, but this one is much "tighter" with less wiggle room. Not that its really magpuls problem given that theirs simply attaches to whatever milspec boltcatch you may be using, but this is the only, single, uniform, bolt catch that moves the access to the bolt catch directly to your fingertips without ever getting in the way of shooting, etc. Also, I've never hand any issues with the bolt accidentally releasing either incase that was a concern, instead it seems to lock back much better as well with a simple flick of the index finger. If you get one of these you wont be sorry. I've seen the previous versions and it looks as if they finally nailed it right on the V3, and yes, it does still look pretty cool with good machining and an excellent finish.

If you’re working with anything BUT a spec lower receiver, you’ll probably need thisI’ve use the other brands for spec receivers but they won’t work on my Wilson lower just because of the metal around the stock bolt release. The Phase 5 fits perfectly, it’s robust, and looks pretty cool too. No doubt this will fit ALL lower receivers whereas the other brands might not.No regrets and I’d buy this again.

I have several of the V2 versions of this bolt release and love them. First purchase of the V3 and I like them a little better than the previous. There are a few subtle differences which are small improvements over the V2. First this does not have the bold white logo and just blends in nicely with the rifle. This also has some light ridges cast into the radius which helps with grip. Lastly the shape of the end of the finger that runs through the trigger guard is reshaped which I like as well. All in all you cant go wrong with either one and they really help with ergos and keeping hand in position.

I like these extended bolt catches a lot. Installed on 1 forged and 2 billet AR15 lowers. great fitting strong metal and functional. I like that these are 1 piece that completely replaces the mil spec bolt catch. The black finish is even and hard.

This works on a Ruger SFAR 308. The roll pin comes out easily and reinstalls the same way. I'm left handed and need an ambi rifle, so this works for me, so far.

Very well made. Install was pretty easy. Works great. It does take up a little extra room in your trigger gaurd. If you whear gloves this might be something to consider. It just makes operation so much easier. Takes a little bit to get used to. Once you get a feel for it, its just smooth and faster.
