The AR-15 receiver end plate/buffer tube castle nut is used to connect the buffer tube to the receiver and prevent any type of nipples from slipping off. This durable receiver end plate/buffer tube castle nut is machined from 7075 T6 aluminum for a strong lightweight platform. The machined receiver end plate/castle nut helps prevent any unwanted nipples from forming and is a crucial part of overall receiver installation. This receiver end plate/buffer tube castle nut should be installed at each end of the buffer tube instead of each individual end of the buffer tube. I had no issues and they look great!!If you use the right tool it usually works out better.Colors are a little off tho as the blue was just slightly lighter than the pics but it matched my trigger guard nicely.Your never going to match everything perfect anyway. The silver is real nice and gives some contrast to my stainless steel barrel. If you don't have any sense like this other guy I'd recommend passing & build some LEGO'S.

This is probably the lightest nut out there. Expect some deformation if you go to 30ft-lbs per the AR-15 manual spec. I suggest to aim for 25ft-lbsI would buy another one now that I know, but I fixed the damage to the anodized finish with aluminum-black

Item is not actual anodized blue, it's more of an anodized turquoise. I would not recommend this item for color match.it works and seems quality is decent.it does the job, just sucks that it doesn't match. Maybe I'll just pay triple the price and have it cerakote.

Thought it would be strong and look good, Grooves are rounded so the moment you put any weight to tighten it slips and the material breaks easier then any castle nut I used before. With the crappy material and the rounded groves its a bad time. As well as the thing is so long you cant push your stock all the way in. The black also is more of a navy blue. Would not recommend.

I bought a chassis for they both action 22 and this piece cleaned up the look and hid the threads of the buffer to nicely. It really made everything look nicer.
