Best upgrade to my M1A. Fits snug. Didn’t have to do any fitting. Receiver slid right in. The but pad and cheek rest adjustments made it easy to keep my sight picture thru my scope, shot after shot. I would recommend this upgrade to anyone.

It was a slog getting a Springfield Armory M1A into this stock. 8+ hours of filing pads and knocking down extensive mold lines have resulted in a toogle over that leaves a 1 centimeter gap between the rear of barrel assembly and the stock. Definitely not the experience I was expecting.

The best price , great stock. I had to a little filing, but no big deal. Now the action fits nice snug, so does the trigger group. Great buy and great stock. Nice feeling stock, good workmanship. My rifle shoots quarter size groups at 400yds.

One thing to add to my initial review. I didn't file down the stock at all. I used a very large pair of channel locks , and 2 rubber pads, to protect the stock and receiver. I positioned the jaws at the back of the receiver and on the stock behind the trigger area and needed very little pressure to get trigger guard to cam over and lock. I did use a little grease on the trigger guard hooks. Also be sure to fully seat the trigger assembly into the cutout on the stock before applying pressure.i got a tight fit with the draw pressure at the muzzle end of the barrel and stock. I installed the Promag Archangel stock on my SA M1A scout squad. Other mods include a Sadlak oprod guide,Tubb's hammer spring and oprod spring kit, SA unitized gas cylinder and a Sadlak scope mount(after removing the SA forward scope mount). I was having trouble keeping 6" groups at 100 yds with the original OEM setup rifle. I sighted in the scope at 50 yards today and the rifle seems to be grouping at about 1.5" using off the shelf 149 grain fmj ammo. I can't say which mods did what but I'm pleased with the results. The stock did add noticeable weight and reduced the felt recoil.

Followed instructions, watched Promag video and it just wont fit without a lot of work. Ive ended up taking it to a gun smith to try and remedy the trigger cams failing to lock down the trigger group . More hassle and expense I was trying to avoid in the first place. I should have bought Sage Ebr
