This is the best upper I own to date however acquiring it requires patience. When I was looking to buy a top of the line upper I was contemplating between DD, Geissele, BCM and Sons of liberty gun works. after eyeing the markets and noting nothing has been in stock for months besides DD, Geissele and Radian I decided to try my luck with radian as I am an Oregonian to support a local business. Good things come to those who wait.

I decided that I wanted 1 solid AR15 at least in the 16" configuration. Rather than buying multiple ARs I decided to spend the money on a top tier rifle. I bought Radian's ADAC lower a while back doe thr ambidextrous controls. There is no play with the upper and lower. It is super tight. The grey finish looks super clean too. I knew I'd have to wait a while to receive it, but it was actually cheaper to order through Optics Planet than it was Radian. I highly recommend this upper!!

On my DD ambi lower, this upper will not fit. The forward assist hits the right side bolt catch. So I can’t even line up the takedown pin. If you look at the Radian ADAC-15 lower, the bolt catch on the right side does not sit up like a typical one. So it won’t even mount to my lower.Now I’ll have to buy the ADAC-15 lower and build it. Not the end of the world, it will get done. But had I known before, I would have sought out the Model 1 complete rifle instead.

The radian upper is as good as it gets. Optics planet is as well. The 14.5” is the sweet spot and the attention to detail is second to none. Buy with confidence. The fit and finish are top tier. The performance is elite.

As a former W1 SOC medic I thought benchmark upper was the MK18. This blew my mind. It just feels special in your hands . Hands down beats any high end rifle on the market. I will definitely come back and buy more stuff from radian

The 14.5 upper has a pin/weld muzzle device. Radian DOES NOT take the time to properly time the muzzle device. This results in your pin/weld location in random visible areas which makes attaching a suppressor a guessing game. It also results in the pin/weld mark in visible areas instead of the 6'Oclock location as you would expect.Other builders like LMT, LWRC, Barrett, and Geissele take the time to install the muzzle device correctly, not Radian. I have contacted customer support at Radian and they said they don't care about timing muzzle devices. At this price-point, I expect better. Buyer beware…
