Not an accurate description. I have an M&P10 and there are 2 tabs on the end of the hand guard that don't line up with anything and create a gap between the hand guard and the receiver. I assume they lock In on other models to prevent the hand guard from turning. I ground them off to make it work and have had no issues so far. If it had fit I would have given it 5 stars easy. Over all nice fit and easy installation other than the tab thing.
