The main thing this piece provides is comfort. If you're thinking it will somehow raise the cheekweld up, you *will* be disappointed. But if you ever shoot on a cold day and hate the feeling of the biting cold aluminum stock, this really helps negate that. It raises it maybe a few millimeters. Maybe. There's no discernable difference in the height frankly.It's nice in that it locks on very securely, so much so that when I wanted to adjust mine more rearward, I had to take a plastic punch and a mallet to get it back off. I guess that little rectangular plastic bit you see pictured (but not described, thanks Sig) is for inserting into the riser's slots on the inside (not pictured), but with my minimalist plus stock, it isn't possible to use it.Looks like it will be easily scratched and dinged up, durability wise. It contrasts very nicely on the minimalist coyote/FDE stock.Four stars because it *is* good, but Sig overpriced it by three times what is reasonable. But we all know that's just how Sig does things.Hope this helps, have a nice day.
