Without a doubt the best spring for the money out there! If you don't want to use non-standard parts and keep your build simple, just pair this spring with a Spikes T1 buffer and you will have solid bolt lockup, no "twang", and a smooth shooting experience.

Good for tuning with buffers and adjustable gas block.

Another excellent product from Strike! Perfect fit, reduced spring noise and felt recoil. Use with Stile Optimus buffer.

I initially bought this to see if it improved my shooting experience and it did. Later, I discovered that if I had a gun with a bolt that isn’t locking back all the way, and it seemed that my spring was binding up in the buffer. Strike industries flat wire spring cured that issue for me and now it’s all I use.,

I have this buffer spring in 7 builds so far and absolutely love it. It is a bit tricky to learn the trick to install it but once you get it down it is easy. I do it by putting the spring in first and letting the retention pin hold it in place then insert the buffer hold down the buffer retention pin with a small screwdriver and push it all the way in. This spring smooths out your rifle and reduces muzzle rise it is also much quieter. I definitely recommend this buffer spring.

A lot of people think they'll get a precision spring at budget prices, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. This spring IS much, much better than a stock GI spring in both function and durability. It will last much longer, it'll also reduce the harmonic clash which causes your brass to eject in a random direction. But it's relatively loosely spec'd compared to a precision Tubb spring that costs $10 more, and that means it's not really any quieter than a music wire spring.I have Tubb's flat springs in my precision rifles, and SI flat springs in my beater rifles. If noise is a big concern for you, spend the extra money and get a legitimate Tubb flat buffer spring. If you're only concerned with durability and consistency, the SI spring is fine. But use them side by side and there really isn't any comparison. The SI makes your rifle consistent, but the Tubb spring makes it run like a Glockenspiel.
