Looks great, easy to install, and works well with the quick detach sling. Also if you don't like the castle nut but want the extended end plate it works with a regular castle nut. Same for if you like the castle nut but want to keep your existing end plate, it works that way also.

I had been looking for the Strike Industries Enhanced Castle nut to finish my build and Optics Planet finally got it in stock so I snatched it up. Not only does this look great it also covers the threads on the Strike industries buffer tube for those that have that, you need to get this. Strike also has the blue anodized process figured out. All the parts I have got match up perfectly.

I have installed these on my last two builds, and I really do prefer them. The extended endplate moves the QD point further away from the pistol grip, which keeps the sling off the back of my hand. The extended castle nut covers the exposed threads on the buffer tube, which I like for using with cheaper, less than "mil-spec" buffer tubes because I have found that adjustable stocks sometimes get hung up on the exposed threads when fully collapsed due to the cheaper manufacturing. The length of pull is reduced ever so slightly with the longer castle nut and end plate. This is not an issue for me, but I figured it was something worth mentioning. The bottom of the endplate does not line up exactly flush with either the Radian or Spikes Tactical lower receiver I installed it on, but that is purely an aesthetic criticism. I haven't put this through any torture tests, but so far, I do recommend this over standard or even BCM endplates. Four stars because it could be better, but it is a great part for any build.

It is perfect. It already had a spot for a sling attachment, it is great quality and I have not had any issues with this *knock on wood*. I like the fact that the way this is put on, it doesn’t allow for the spring to go flying out.

This is a fantastic product to add flash to your AR. It was very easy to install, and can be tightened down with a normal armorers wrench. The QD endplate allows for easy QD sling attachment right below the buffer tube extension. Additionally, the QD endplate allows for the ability to have a set screw set for the spring and detent for the take down pin. Would definitely recommend, and will buy again for future builds.

This and their more expensive version with the steel QD tube are the best endplates for the AR, IMO. Having a sling QD abrading your thumb web gets annoying pretty quick and these extended end plates are the perfect answer. I put these on all my builds. This one if splitting hairs about weight (no steel QD tube) and the other with the side QD points if not nitpicking weight. The other has a better castle nut too, which brings me to the reason it gets 4 stars. The fork tines they designed on the end of the castle nut are just as sharp as they look and waiting to hang up on your clothing/sling/whatever at any opportunity. When I buy these, I buy a separate castle nut. Anyone who wants some oversize castle nuts sharp enough to cut you open is welcome to the few that are in my "no bueno" parts box.
