This is my first time using this style of gas block that clamps instead of a set screw to the barrel. So far it hasn't came lose and works properly.Pros:great qualityAffordableEasy to installQuick to adjust Cons: clamps instead of set screw (personal preference)

So for whatever reason, I think cause a few negative reviews when it was released, there isn't tons of reviews on this. Even though obviously a great design in theory. For me. All gas holes lined up dimensionally with my port and shoulder and were appropriately restricting on each setting. Detent and spring strong enough I have no fear it will change without intention. Tight tolerance to barrel.( Kak value line x39). I can change setting with bullet tip, lil piece of wood, whatever and I have full clock keymod only slots. Not open vents at 11 and 1 o'clock.. So, it's easy to adjust. I have a lil concern about clamp on in general and the only thing I can see possibly being and issue later is gas blow by since it is 2 piece design. However, checked after 100 rounds and no blow by to speak of . Very quality machining, and the two parts seem to mate up just perfect, tiny bit of freedom to twist the collar but zero wobble or play between the three touching parts. great idea to avoid adjustment screws freezing up. Figure even after you find a setting to stay on just twist it every once in awhile to keep free. Used a lil green lock tight since I dunno about clamp ons really. Also, definitely easy enough to customize the port sizes and can even add one more to the off position. Then for suppressed just turn to "off" and you know you are there. Overall impressive machining and finish. Great design so far. Functioned fine for 100 rounds. Still on strong and tight afterwards. Again, plenty people swear by em but I've always went set screw type with good dimples and even pinning afterward on rifle I would happily take to the boog. Time will tell on that but green lock tight works great at holding things like this on…. Took a lil risk buying it just to see for myself what it looks like. Glad I did.

Be extremely careful with this set screw provided to temp install the gas collar adjustment, mine broke very easily very little pressure was applied and the screw head snapped off …smh . Now i have to figure out how to get this tiny broken screw out without damaging anything…other than that its cool

Purchased to update an existing rifle. The gas block is nicely machined. Installation was straightforward after watching the Strike Industries video as there aren't any instructions included. There arent any rubber o-rings, but the machining tolerances are tight. After installing the detent was stiff but has loosened up with use. The adjustments are pretty easy to get to when under a handguard with the use of a round or whatevers handy. The ports work as advertised with closed not cycling the bolt and fully open letting all the gas through. It's only seen roughly 200 rounds so only time will tell how it will function long term.

Ordered this one directly from Strike's website. Product arrived and was missing two of the smaller components. After 10 days of calling an endlessly ringing phone number, I finally got a response from their shipping crew via email and was sent the missing components. Once Strike provided me with the product I ordered with all of the small components it is supposed to come with, I followed the installation video and got it installed on my rifle.First shot – Closed port. Rifle performed as expected.Second shot – Open 1. Rifle fires. Fails to eject. Totally expected.Third shot – Open 2. Rifle fires. Fails to eject. Not TOTALLY expected, but fine.Fourth Shot: Open 4. Rifle fires. Ejects. Fails to cycle.Fifth Shot – Wide open port. Rifle fires. Ejects case. Fails to cycle. After this test, I noticed that the adjustable collar had dislocated from the gas block. I disassembled the handguard, removed the gas block, and started over again. After running the same test and getting the same results, I noticed that the collar had once again detached from the gas block.I wanted this thing to work! It looks so cool and simple to operate! But the combined experience with shipping, missing hardware, lack of service, and a faulty product have pretty much ended my interest in Strike Industries. I didn't even bother asking for a refund from them. The block went into the trash and I went with Superlative.Friends don't let friends buy Strike Industries.

The only positive is that it’s pretty easy to operate through the hand guard. That said, all the way open works. And all the way closed work. The other settings are just variations of being under gassed.
