I installed this on a standard aero upper and it worked perfectly. Easy install and removal. It closed the first time with no adjustments necessary. It looks great and feels sturdy. Overall I’m very pleased with the fit, finish and ease of installation.

Great dust cover! This is my go to dust cover. Won't cause markings on lower because its polymer. Super easy to install and it works on all type of uppers unlike the magpul dust cover. Magpul dust cover is similar design but due to its thickness it may require modification to make it work on some uppers.

I ordered the SI FDE Flag Enhanced Ultimate Dust Cover along with other upper parts for my Aero Precision M4E1 upper and lower without reading the compatibility statement. While waiting for the order to arrive, I saw the expert's answer that the cover is not compatible with M4E1 upper. Then I checked SI's website. Same statement. I almost called OP to cancel the item. Because OP's superb return policy, I want to give the cover a chance.A few days later, I received the cover. To my surprise, it fits the M4E1 Threaded Upper perfectly. It took me less than two minutes to install it. I didn't even need to adjust anything. It just fits.The FDE color is slightly lighter than Aero's FDE color but still matches. Yesterday, I painted the flag with blue and red colors. I am really happy with it. I wish OP allows pictures for review so I can show you how well it fits the M4E1.Since I just installed the cover, I cannot say how well it resists heat. I read it might warp if left in hot sun for too long. I live in Florida and will keep that in mind.Hope my review helps those who owns M4E1 Threaded Uppers and wants to buy this dust cover.

It works good for looking cool. It's light weight and installs super fast. If you're running a dual mag setup with Magpul Mag-Links, they will not clear with this dust cover. I do like it tho. It's was pretty cheap so the price was right.

Have to admit, I don't review a product unless I find it exceptional, or lacking. I had to give this product its due.Had a change of heart on the color scheme on my Fostech UL build (FDE to black). Originally had the Magpul FDE drop in cover in place… it was chunky, and loose fitting. The latch spring worked well, but the main spring was weak and made the cover bounce as it opened… I mean it worked, but its annoying… like a little marble bouncing quickly.Anyway, I never really liked the magpul cover, but it was half the weight of steel and a cheap solution to saving a half ounce, it worked well enough, so I used it.Went looking again for what was available in a lightweight port door in black and came across the SI. Went with the capsule version, and figured for $15 bucks, it cant be worse than the magpul which barely does the job.I was correct… this thing is excellent. Light, stiff, perfect adjustable detent, strong springs, excellent aesthetic, and an interior rim that you can feel sliding into the ejectoon port and sealing it up..! Its nuts. Like it was custom.molded for my action.Maybe I got lucky, ymmv. I see no reason bot to recommend this product. SI has a certain stigma among more traditional crowds, and also makes many pieces of hot garbage that shouldnt see the light of day. Now I know they also produce decent quality components.Might just have to try.one of their kuzzle devices.Finally, there are several reviews that complain about the spring not working and failing to flip the door open… ignore these people. You have to wind the spring a bit (the tiny L shaped portion) andnmake sure it contacts the upper under tension as you install the door. It's tricky, an extra set of hands may help. The folks saying the dont work just dropped them in without setting the spring.Buy with confidence.

This dust cover looks great, very easy to install and with a bit of adjusting (which I am glad it has that ability) it works just fine. It doesn't fit and operate as perfectly as a metal mil-spec (or maybe even another metal/billet material) type product, but that is the only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars. If I had the option, I would rate it 4.5 stars. I recommend this product for most mil-spec type lowers.
