A no-brainer upgrade for the Ruger 10/22. Quick installation and immediately improves ease of weapon charging over the stock handle. It's a bit pricey for what it is. The rubber piece that interfaces with the original charging handle doesn't like to stick, and the factory locking plate that comes with the 10/22 won't fit with this installed. Still, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I plan to have one of these on every 10/22 I ever own.

A charging handle on the left side of the receiver, clear jams without having to lose your grip. Two things you need to know the Advantage. First, be sure to lube the guide rod and spring, and you’ll want to cycle it a while to break it in. It’s a little stiff at first but all 3 of my 10/22’s smoothed out and now work perfectly! And the built in scope base is in fact a Picatinny! Second, some scope rings won’t work with the Advantage as the bottom of the ring mounts will hit the handle and you won’t be able to clamp the rings to the scope base. I had a set of rings that initially wouldn’t work. But I removed just a small amount of metal on the bottom of the aluminum rings with my Dremel and a sanding drum and it works great now. It didn’t take much sanding and you won’t need to remove much metal. Steel ring sets will take more work to clear the handle though. But it’s well worth the effort!

I installed it exactly as their installation video directed, with a Wheeler torque wrench set to the correct torque. The screws just spun freely and when I took them out the threading from the receiver end was still in the screw threads. This POS product destroyed my receiver mounting holes, now I can never mount anything to it at all. I had a regular rail on it before this and that went on and off with no issues.

Great idea, but terribly executed. Cheaply made. The rail is the worst I ever seen. My $8 UTG rail is 100x better. The mounts are plastic. The bumper for the charging catch fell off on the first rack. I could look past these flaws for the added functionality, but the real deal breaker is the charger binds on three different scope rings and mounts I tried. The only mount I could get to work was for a red dot. Sounds like the original was way better. Too bad they cheaped out. Returned.

Apparently Tandemkross decided to "redesign" this charging handle recently. It used to be a quality piece machined out of 6061 aluminum, now its made out of cheap chinesium castings and plastic. You can easily see and feel the difference. The charging handle drags and sticks on the guide rails even after adding lube. Either the picatinny rail or handle is out of spec as the handle rubs and binds on the bottom of my Sig Romeo5. This thing almost feels like a cheap chinese knockoff of the original. If you can find an original version, buy it. Otherwise, steer clear of the new "improved" version. A sad example of a manufacturer putting profits ahead of quality.

A noticeable difference in pull weight verses the right hand factory side and limits the factory grip. I think with a larger handle on the right hand factory side and recoil rod and spring upgrade it will possibly work better. All in all though I think it's a great upgrade.
