I put 400+ rounds through my 10/22 the other day and I didn't have a single failure to eject after installing this. There is a noticeable difference in the metal used to make this versus the stock extractor as well as in the sharp edges where it contacts the casing. Tandemkross claims that it won't wear down and I believe it.The installation was super easy and if there's any confusion, a quick visit to youtube will set you straight. For the low cost of greatly improving reliability this can't be beat.

With age your 10/22 ruger stamped steel extractors wear out,had one break so needed a plunger too.the 597 Remington really needs them just to work reliably.you should get the hammerd and springs also.
