this is an awesome looking addition to your AR build and I have no regrets about buying it or reservations about recommending it to anyone..but full disclosure I did have to take a dremel to it for it to function with my Wilson combat billet receiver set.

After finding several covers that stated they were not compatible with an Aero Precision M4E1 upper, I stumbled across this one. After being unable to find the compatibility of this cover, I decided to take a chance and order it. At first it didn't wanna stay shut, but after adding a drop of oil to the ball and working it in, it now fuctions flawlessly, and stays tightly shut. Will be buying again for future builds.

Nice fit, solid and thick. Snaps in good to the receiver and assembled great with the rod and into the opening. Color is vibrant too and matches my other Timber Creek parts. Can't go wrong at all. I would buy again.

I received this as a gift. I read all of negative reviews on these & wondered what they were all about? So, of course I was a little worried when my wife happens to buy me one for Christmas to go with a new Aero slickside upper. It looked great! The machine work and anodizing looked great, and I wanted it to fit. So, before going through the trouble of winding the spring, I installed it on the rod by itself. Snapped shut perfectly and seemed to have the correct amount of tension when I snapped it open manually.I installed the spring & now it will no longer snap shut? So I immediately know it's spring related. I take a look at the back and see the longer end has a slot milled in the back of the dust cover, but the short end of the spring is getting squeezed between the receiver & the dust cover. I simply bent a 90° angle into the short end of the spring, just low enough that it doesn't get squeezed between the receiver & the cover, and now it's perfect.Timber Creek should remedy this by either milling a slot for both ends of the spring or bending the spring end like I did. But honestly, it took me longer to find my needle nose pliers than it did to diagnose & remedy the problem. I have a hard time deducting points when the issue was such a non-issue. Don't let a spring outsmart you. If you do, maybe don't tell the world about it?

Easy install to personalize my AR. Color matches all other OD parts I have and makes for a nice finishing touch. Timber Creek has some of the best parts, in my opinion. Highly recommend!
