I have multiple sets of these sights from Troy Industries. These are some of the best, most solid, folding iron sights available. The only ones I would rate higher are the back up iron sights from lwrci.

At 63 years old the rear sight is very blurry in low light. In bright light it’s a little better. Easy to install and deploy. I would opt for the 45° sights next time. Quality of manufacturing is excellent. Customer service at Troy is exceptional.

Front sight that is a post with bead and a ring, H&K style contours the circular sight picture from the ring. For me there is something about the circle the ring makes.. I find that easier to make a faster shot, when using iron sights.

Here is another great American made product. This is a cut and paste on my review for the rear sights. When first taking them out of the box you can feel the weight of them which is surprisingly a little heavier than expected. I quickly realized they are all steel and well built. Attachment to my rail system was very quick and easy, taking less than 30 sec to put on, finding my flat tip screwdriver took longer. There is a very positive click when either laying the sights down or standing them up so you know when they are in position. The button on the side to unlock the sights to lay them down has a nice tight spring so the button cant be easily depressed and your sights moved by accident. My only recommendation would be to give the option of including a sight tool to move the sights as part of the package when selling these sights, without it you can use a flat tip screwdriver but why not just include the tool as an option. Also Surprisingly, when I sighted my rifle in the sights were already fairly close to dead on, shooting low left about 2 inches at 50 yards. I shot two groups of three rounds and was hitting bullseyes with the second group with about a 1/2 in group on irons. I recently tried sighting in some cheaper sights with a friend and the sights kept moving every group he shot. My friend ended up shooting close to 30 rds and still didnt have the rifle sighted, so i would not recommend going with cheap sights b/c they cost a little less. buy quality your life may depend on it and you wallet will thank you for it later. Lastly, I have dropped a rifle with troy sights on it by tripping and the sights were what took the brunt of the fall. the finish took a beating but the sights were still true. best buy for your money in my opinion

If you want a solid back up iron site for your AR style rifle, this is it. I have used other flip up sites in the past and Troy by far makes the best. Very good materials, easy to install and use. Works great in conjuction with optics or stand alone. A little expensive but then again you cant put a price on reliability when lives are on the line. Optics Planet has the price around on this product and shipped it for free.Pros: Solid and reliable.Cons: Price
