Installation instructions Handguard installation instructions: In order to install your new hand guard you will need the following tools: 30mm Wrench T25 Torx Screw Driver Threadlocker (optional) Once you have installed your barrel in your upper, thread on the barrel nut onto the upper receiver and tighten down to 35-65 foot pounds. After you have installed your gas block and tube assembly slide the hand guard over the barrel nut. You may apply lock-tight to the exterior of the barrel nut across the knurled surface for added grip. (The rail will need force when going over the barrel nut as the knurling is designed to mar the interior surface of the rail adding additional grip.) Align the rail with your receiver and put the mounting screws in the drilled holes from the left side of the upper receiver and proceed to tighten them down to 50 inch pounds. Easy to install, it came with the barrel nut and two screws. Its a perfect fit with my FN 10” barrel 300 blk build. I used a 30mm crow foot wrench (not included) to toque the nut to the recommendation between 30 – 80 ft/lbs and used blue loctite for the two screws. The pros: lightweight and budget friendly. I haven’t shot it, TBD. I’m little skeptical about rotation, no Anti-rotation but it does have anti slip technology when the two screws are tightened to specs.

Let me start off by saying that I really love this handguard, I dont think it weights more than 10oz with the barrel nut and screws (I bought the 15 inch version). It is the clamp on style of handguard and uses a torx head for the handguard screws, which I found mildly annoying since I didnt have the right one and had to go out and buy it, but they dont strip easily so thats good. the barrel nut itself uses a 1 1/4 inch crows foot and is made of steel, no trouble torqueing it on my upper. Only thing I don't like is that the finish doesnt match my upper, its a little lighter and not as smooth, but aside from that I like everything about this handguard and will definitely buy another in the future.

Really liked the look of this so I gave it a chance. Very happy with it. Like another review it was a little tough to get my mbus site on the front (I just tapped it a little with the hammer) and it went on. The profile of under the picatinny rail is just slightly larger than the Anderson upper I have. No biggie it works. Only other issue is the black color is just a tad bit different but I expected that with different manufacturers. Overall I’m pleased with the build. Seems to lock up tight and line up nice. The machining looks great and price was good. Wouldn’t hesitate to but again.

Nice and lightweight, just like it says. I replaced my delta ring with the included nut, which is steel, and didn't have any problems. The gas tube was able to slide right in above it with no issues, and the handguard didn't have any issues with sliding over the steel nut. I wish the bolts were just a hair longer because it didn't feel like it made a thorough connection between the two sides, but it did connect and I haven't seen any issues with it after hitting it with some blue thread lock and firing off a few magazines. If you're looking to save a little weight so you can add some attachments like a bipod or whatnot, I would recommend this handguard.

The handguard itself feels sturdy and does what needs doing. There are three things I think could be better. One of them is that including a barrel wrench would be convenient and save the extra step of finding the right size wrench. I know the description says there isn’t one. Just saying it would be nice. I also think putting some anti rotation tabs on the handguard would be very nice. Last having a better attachment method would help because it seems like this handguard will rotate at some point. Even with these complaints I think the handguard will work fine if you really need to save some cash. We’re all on a budget these days.

Overall, this is a pretty nice handguard for the money. It doesn’t stack up to the SLR or VSeven hand guards I have on other builds, but it is also a good bit less expensive. The two issues I have are:1). The mounting system and screws used to attach the handguard to the barrel nut could be better. It is a simple compression mount on the barrel nut. The screws go from one side of the underside on the handguard into the other. They could be a little longer for sure but even better would be a screw and nut system where they screws into a nut that could be recessed into the opposite side on the handguard. I believe this will be OK but it would definitely look and feel better if this system was a lilttle more robust.2). The handguard actually interfered slightly with my lower to the point the takedown pins wouldn’t align properly and go in. I ended up having to file off a tiny bit of material from the lower edge of the handguard to get the pins to go in. I tried inserting the pins to mate the upper to the lower with the handguard uninstalled and it worked fine, so it was definitely the handguard causing the slight alignment issue. This was confirmed by some rub marks on the lower where the FDE from the handguard was clearly coming off on the rounded pin anchor holes on the lower. Again, not a big deal and nothing 5 minutes with a file didn’t fix but I’d rather not have to file away on my handguard just to get it to fit.Overall finish seems pretty nice but time will tell. Color match with my other FDE furniture and parts is quite good (if you care about those sorts of things).Again, pretty good value for a pretty nice handguard.
