Installation instructions Handguard installation instructions In order to install your new handguard, you will need the following tools: 30mm Wrench T25 Torx Screwdriver Thread Locker (optional) Once you have installed your barrel in your upper receiver, thread the barrel nut onto the upper and tighten down to 35-65 foot pounds. After you have installed your gas block and tube assembly, slide the handguard over the barrel nut. You may apply Loctite to the exterior of the barrel nut across the knurled surface for added grip. You will need to apply some force to the rail when going over the barrel nut as the knurling is designed to mar the interior surface of the rail, adding additional grip. Align the rail with your receiver and put the mounting screws in the drilled holes from the left side of the upper receiver and proceed to tighten them down to 50 inch pounds. Have done a ton of builds with very expensive and cheap handguards. For the cost this one is actually really nice, light, good finish, and have no complaints. Would recommend and buy again for a cost effective SBR build.

After the pistol brace ban was enacted, I transformed my M&P 15-22 pistol into a rifle and added Hogue grips and buttstock, as well as a TRYBE hand guard, all in Flat Desert Earth. For the barrel, I went with the Volquartsen carbon fiber 16”, topped with a Tacticool vented barrel shroud, all purchased from OpticsPlanet. Also added the Romeo Red (green) Dot sight. The machining and look of this handguard is stellar. It feels very sturdy and light whilst having no sharp edges that would be indicative of a cheap handguard. However, the FDE finish is not Magpul FDE. I am pairing this with an Aero Precision M4E1 receiver set and the cerakote finishes do not match. This could be easily fixed by adding a layer of magpul cerakote onto the handguard but one should not have to do this. Also, no information was given for propper torquing of the barrel nut, or any installation instructions for that matter.

This is a very nice rail for the money. The fit is pretty good although the color is a little different. The screws are a little cheap but they get the job done. The design is nice and feels solid once it’s mounted. It’s not the quality of an MI, Troy, or Spikes free float rail but it’s not bad.

After about 1000 rounds it was hot to the touch where my angled grip wasnt. Looks great and have put about 2500 thru since having it professionally installed and the back up front site is still right on target at 100 yrds. gave it a 4 only cause if you plan on doing in serious kind of shooting with this then invest in good gloves or a foregrip.

The quality and finish of the handguard is very good. Mounting is quite solid despite the lack of anti-rotation tabs. Packaging is lackluster which doesn’t really matter since you’re probably gonna throw it away anyway. One negative is it does not come with an torx wrench to install the small screws. Considering you’re building an an AR15 or in this case an AR9 I already had the tools to do so just something to take note of.
