Installation Instructions Handguard Installation instructions In order to install your new handguard, you will need the following tools: 30mm Wrench 5/32″ Hex Screwdriver Thread Locker (optional) Once you have installed your barrel in your upper receiver, thread the barrel nut onto the upper and tighten down to 35-65 foot pounds. After you have installed your gas block and tube assembly, slide the handguard over the barrel nut. You may apply Loctite to the exterior of the barrel nut across the knurled surface for added grip. You will need to apply some force to the rail when going over the barrel nut as the knurling is designed to mar the interior surface of the rail, adding additional grip. Align the rail with your receiver and put the mounting screws in the drilled holes from the left side of the upper receiver and proceed to tighten them down to 3 foot-pounds (36 inch-pounds). Do not torque screws more than 3 foot-pounds. Exceeding this force may strip the threads. This is a great product if you are trying to save weight. Perfect fit for the barrel nut I have installed, even before tightening it doesn't rotate easily. The quality of this product is pretty impressive compared to other handguards I've purchased as well.

Everything but the qd mount that is made in the handguard is good. Doesnt have any wiggle, lines up well with aero upper, barrel but has no play, and is pretty light. The only dissapointing thing is the qd mount. It is significantly smaller than standard qd. And tribe defense doesnt make qd for it, or atleast i havwnt found one. Other than that. It seems pretty solid.

I wanted to like this handguard. First impressions were positive… it is lightweight, sturdy, and aesthetically appealing. I especially like the Mlok top cuts, where I was planning on mounting my cable control tape switch mount. Unfortunately the top isnt as wide as the typical area surrounding mlok cuts, so my switch hangs off. Definitely not the deal breaker in this review. Fit and finish are acceptable for the $100 i paid, but i wouldnt be happy if id got this joker at full price.While the handguard is light, the barrel nut is WAY too heavy. With other makers coming in at under two ounces, this barrel nut weighs OVER three ounces and makes the total weight for handguard and hardware well over a half pound. Totally eliminates the point of spending/sacrificing for the sake of shedding weight. With the barrel nut this HG weighs as much as an Aero Atlas S One of equivalent length, which is likely the direction ill go as im tired of being disappointed. See my review of the comparable Fostech FLITE 13" magalloy handguard for context.Finally, the worst part… as others have said, the threads themselves in the nut are.out of spec and cut too shallow, causing the nut to be too tight to even fully thread onto the reciever. Tore my barrel all apart only to find the new nut wouldnt even fully thread onto the properly greased reciever threads.All said and done this ones going back to OP. Dont bother with these so called deals like this, theyre just trying to offload their junk and cut their losses. This handguard whispers CHINA, whether it was made there or not… I suspect the nut and screws were. If not for the hardware this would work.Im sure not putting a 6 oz handguard on a 3 oz barrel nut…. whether it threads on or nut. Its just stupid. Stupid, cheap junk.

This thing has so many issues. At best it's airsoft quality. There is a large burr on both sides of the cut out portion of the picatinny rail. Some of the m-lok slots look like the edges were cleaned up with a hammer. The hole that is typically a QD mount isn't functional as one because it's undersize and not undercut. The sides of some of the picatinny rail slots are beat up. The gas tube is not oriented to the picatinny rail. What this means is that the section of material holding the pic rail to the rest of the handguard is thin on one side and thicker on the other.Worst of all the front section of pic rail is twisted vs the rear section. If you look down the back of the handguard you can see that it no where near flat.I would not trust this to hold my option over the long term.Ohh and the barrel nut sent with it does not fit it. There is no way anyone quality checked this part. If it were under thirty dollars and for airsoft only it would be ok. This is way to expensive for the quality of it.I highly recommend that you avoid this until they clearance it for under $30.I will be returning this.
