Worthy replacement if you're in need after damaging, rounding corners or just need a spare to mach uppers. Also appears to fit into a couple other brands of clamping style handguards without issues.

As others have stated here and in the handguard reviews related to this barrel nut, the threads on this wouldnt even allow full threading onto any reciever. On top of that, this hunk of junk weighs so much, any weight savings gained by a trybe handguard are negated by the barrel nut.It is a standard OD,.though, so I threw the nut away and used the HG with a Fostech nut.Id steer clear of this one.

I ordered this product a while ago and when it was received it was missing the screws. I contacted Optics Planet and they sent me another one which was also missing screws. I contacted again and in total they sent me 4 of these parts kits and everyone was missing the screws. Optics Planet had no options but to offer me a less than $10 refund on my original purchase. They offered to return the hand-guard but I like it and want to use it. I feel that it is super incompetent on their part to not to remove these parts that were missing screws. Unfortunately my rifle is still not done until I can find some screws that will work or decide to replace the hand-guard.

I heard these were in the lightweight Handguards and now they are just available as a standard barrel nut. Bought one it works fine. Now I need one of the lightweight barrel nuts for the Handguard. Don’t know if they are going to offer it separate but they should

This does not come with torque specs, otherwise it was used to replace a smooth barrel nut for a Willow Defense Mlok handguard. I chose this based on the correct dimension(1.3 inches) and because it is knurled for better clamping force.
