This item is gorgeous. It added a custom look to my AR-15 and the complements just keeping rolling in. The only negative is that it is too easy to scratch the anodizing when installing it. Make sure to place soft towel against the metal while your using the hex tool. It is also a bit wider than most other grips, which is a good thing for trigger finger placement in my opinion.

I thought this grip would really pop off my latest AR9 build. It was hard to find a cool looking red grip with a vertical angle. Unfortunately, the first thing I noticed opening the box was a lot of fingerprints, some white hairs and scuff marks on the inner V brace with shiny aluminum showing through. It was clearly used, installed and returned. Optics Planet does this a lot. I get a lot of things that show installation marks and wear and many are faulty that just keep getting resold. I could have lived with the scuff marks but this just doesn't fit my hand or feel right. It is huge and bulky. Unless you have really big hands you probably won't like it as your fingers don't close around it and it also forces your grip higher which doesn't feel natural, especially on a 15 degree vertical grip.

Tyrant puts out some great looking gear. I was sold on just the look of their MOD V2 AR-15 grip but was a bit leery if it would feel good once installed. I was not disappointed!! Granted I was going from the A2 dreaded pistol grip to this so that’s like bologna rolls to ribeyes. I bought their grey version…it will NOT match other grey components from different companies but we are all well aware of that. Just means I’ll be buying more Tyrant components which is fine by me. I have bigger hands the the grip is perfect. 100% recommend

Well made grip really love the look it’s a bit of pain to install because there’s not much room but once it’s installed looks great
