Nice forearm, however, it was missing one of the screws to mount the optics block. So not sure how to get a screw to make this work now. The forearm itself however, is lightweight and easier to conceal in a bag once broken down.

Compared to the regular polymer forend, this is definitely better especially with the MLOK attachments. The micro red dot attachment is a huge addition if that floats your boat. It is light, and much lighter than the free float hand guard.I currently have a magpul backpacker stock and this forend hand guard fits BUT obviously when you take it down, it would not lock into the slot for the stowed position.Although I would not use this forend frequently (because I like how the backpacker set up for now), I decided not to return it because of the value for money and functionality. It’s a really good alternative.

Feels great and fits in the hand nicely, not too heavy compared to the original forend

Really liking this forend. Had room for 3 attachments on the forward miok with just enough for my hand behind. The cowitness worked perfectly with a micro red dot. Much cleaner look than the trs 25 I was using. Considered the Midwest forend, which I’m sure is great, but heard it added weight. This is light, clean, and functional. What more could I want for my pc carbine?
Excellent Tactical Hand Guard –
This is an excellent addition to the Ruger PC Carbine. While the stock forend isn't bad, it leaves a lot to be desired in the way of adding accessories. I had tried another popular option made of carbon fiber with M-Lok slots that was longer, yet lighter than the stock forend. While that product was good, I didn't like that the M-Lok slots were fairly far away from the receiver of the firearm. Enter this product, which is perfect because it is so compact, but allows for an incredible 8 M-Lok attachment points. This is exactly what I wanted because I was able to add a vertical grip that was much closer to the receiver, which just feels more comfortable to me. I was also able to add quick attachment points for my sling, and even a light that I can flick on and off while holding the vertical grip. The fit and finish on this product is very impressive and it sits flush against the receiver and follows the receiver's shape quite nicely. It looks almost as if it was a factory-offered option. I have not had ocassion to use the optic mount because I already have a picatinny rail installed in place of my rear sight. Either way, the optics mount looks pretty solid and looks easy to install. Another thing to note is that this hand guard free-floats the barrel outside of where it physically bolts to the barrel. In other words, the forend obviously must touch the barrel at its mounting point, but where the barrel starts to taper, the hand guard does not touch the barrel. I was able to thread a dollar bill between the hand guard and the barrel. Overall, I am very impressed with this product and would highly recommend it.

Many options to install Magpul rails, take down flash light, socket to install a sling etc.
