Came across VLTOR MUR by accident then found out this thing was built like a tank! There was a case where an ammo blew up inside the chamber and MUR withstood the explosion without major damage, SAVED THE USERS HANDS. IMPRESSIVE! I went with non-cerakote model (MUR-A1) very nice finish. Colorwise, it's slightly lighter than most anodized aluminum but not by much. Definitely would buy again

This upper is a great choice for anyone who is wanting to build a good looking AR. It is extremely beefy in all the right areas and rocks the vltor logo for bragging rights. I was trying to decide between this and the Aero upper and I couldn't be happier that I went with this vltor mur.

I have been on the fence looking at this upper for the last year. Recently I purchased a Radian lower and thought this upper would look perfect on top of it. The fit and finish was amazing. Extremely high quality and had a perfect fit to my lower with absolutely no wiggle. For those wondering it also fit perfectly with a geissele mk16 rail with no issues. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this upper and would not hesitate to buy again. The only caveat would be that if you are using a full ambi lower like the LMT mars or LWRC then this upper will not fit. The right side bolt catch will prevent the upper from fitting. Normal mil spec lowers or in my case the Radian lower will fit with no issue.

Checked it with 4 different barrels that were all sloppy loose. Vltor wouldn’t even offer to check it out- just insisted I was wrong because their products are perfect. Add to that the fact that because it is a custom, wonky design (as are most billets) the accessories I wanted to use for offset backup sights won’t work. All in all, a very poor experience. Used it with a cheap barrel for a shirt range hog gun. Moving forward, I will stick with BCM stripped uppers- zero tolerance slip fit, compatible with everything and very well made. I don’t understand the love for these at all.
