I ordered this part, but somehow got the one for an AR-10. I called and OpticsPlanet customer service was great, they sent me an rma number and return shipping label. Now I’m just waiting on my new one to get here. On a side note, afterwards I found out the AR-10 guard is the same as the AR-15 with a different proprietary barrel nut. If I knew this before I would have just gotten that part swapped out.

This is a great handguard, only second in comfort to a diamondhead vrs-t. But with the odd dimensions of the diamondhead (less than 1.5" internal diameter) and slanted front (add 1.5" to vrs length) this rail can cover my suppressor and feel great doing it. The section milled for your grip is a perfect distance and like I mentioned super comfortable. The only reason I say second best is because the natural shape (triangular) of the vrs is incredible…but still 5 stars for this unit. Very solid build and install too.

I brought this handguard through OP because it was cheaper than F1 site. Even though it was advertised as keymod and I wanted M-lok because it flow better with the cutouts in my upper receiver. Lucky me to my surprise received the m-lok handguard. I also chosen this handguard for the intergated hand placement towards the forend. I like there's plenty of material remove in the design that you're able to see barrel, gas block etc.

ordered this by mistake. wanted the thinner jerry miculek one. of course opticplanets has the best return policy and is refunding me so i can order what i want. if this is what i was looking for for my build i would recommend but want more of a 3 gun style set up.
