The P7M Rail System is our newest and LIGHTEST rail offered. Building on the theme of our UDR-2 Upper, we took skeletonizing to new heights with this rail. Utilizing 7075-T6 Aluminum allows F-1 to produce Rail Systems thinner and lighter than competitors using weaker 6-Series Aluminum for handguards. First designed in conjunction with our PCC offering, the P7M Rail mounts and flows seamlessly to the UDP-9 Upper in lengths as short as 5. Due to the overwhelming response to the Rail System on the PCC, we offer the P7 in rifle lengths as well. The P7 features the M-LOK mounting system with slots on the bottom and both sides, as well as 2-4 QD Points depending on length of rail. The Picatinny Rail is scalloped and skeletonized as well, and the large flat bottom of the Rail features custom 1/8 knurling to aid in both grip and over barrier support. Available in 5(3.7 oz), 7(4.4 oz), and 13.5(7 oz) lengths. I searched long and hard for the perfect lightweight handguard for a lightweight AR build. I narrowed it down to 5 different handguards with all of them offering features I was looking for. What it came down to is that I was comparing them against the F-1 Firearms P7M. I then realized that this handguard is the one I should purchase.After receiving this handguard, I was positive I made the right decision. It was comfortable and offered the features I needed all in a lightweight unit. I will definitely use this handguard on future builds.

I was looking for a lightweight handguard that would also give me a 'flush' look at the end of my barrel. The overall length is 13.75" and it's nearly flush with my flash can attached. The qd mounts at the side is a great idea and saved some additonal weight by not adding qd mounts. The pic rail is milled out as much as possible. I would def buy this again.

I have to say this is a very nice handguard. I needed something that would clear a 0.875" gas block, since my Aero Atlas R-One's internal diameter would not fit such a gas block. Despite appearing much larger than the Atlas R-One, physically, when I placed the P7M Handguard and it's barrel nut onto a digital scale it weighed 310 grams (10.95 oz), which was actually LIGHTER by a few grams than the R-One it was replacing! The R-One had weighed in at 326 grams, including its barrel nut. This is excellent, as the P7M is going over a match-grade carbon fiber barrel and helps to keep the weight down. It also looks amazing after having had it cerakoted in Sniper Grey to match my receiver set.
