NiB-X A3/A4 Upper Receiver w/M4 Feed Ramps, Forged, Stripped with Ceramic Color Topcoat. Ideal building block for a long lasting AR15. This 7075 T6 Aluminum forged Mil Spec stripped receiver with M4 feed ramps has NiB-X coating inside and out to provide an exceptionally tough, ultra-smooth surface finish for outstanding wear resistance and lubricity. NiB-X is almost twice as hard as anodize and has a much lower coefficient of friction. Topcoated on the outside only with a ceramic color coating leaving NiB-X exposed on the inside wear surfaces. Standard colors are available. A matching topcoated NiB-X charging handle is a perfect complement for this upper receiver. This NiB coating is just that slick. It feels so smooth with no rough edges for your comfort. No lube needed for real. The fit it like a glove. Real snug and tight for that prefect fit. Not to big but not to loose. This upper is like Paris Hilton said “hot”. Real impressed with this. Might buy another for a his and hers collection. The color is real sleek too. Well since I have to write more. I like this and would recommend.

Mated with a STNGR hand-guard, Seekins adjustable gas block, Griffin Armament bolt, and Hughes Ballistics Primus barrel. Smooth as silk functioning so far. Haven’t test fired, but have ran dummies through function test with no hiccups.

The nib coating is slick but needs the ceracoat finish scrubbed out. The nib coating has no purpose on the outside of the receiver. In fact it keeps the ceracoat from bonding properly and as a result, the ceracoat scratches quite easily. I have rattle can paintwork more durable. The ceracoat is also so thin that the burnt bronze is more gold. I have seen a buddies wmd burnt bronze receiver and it is much darker. I don't think wmd colors match from one to the next.

Don't get the topcoated items, overspray everywhere in the inside and the barrel area is roughWanted to like this, if they would have just taped off the part and not oversprayed the entire inside and barrel seat it might have been great.Would not recommend
